Homework - Part 5. Propose a solution (Sugesstion)

Hello. This is Ben from the managements. As you know, we are scheduled to launch a new product at the beginning of November so all the employees have been working hard to make sure that the schedule doesn’t fall behind. Unfortunately, something unexpected has happened at the production line. The factory workers went on a strike complaining about the working time.
They are asking for maximum working hours of 35 hours per week. I think you should discuss this matter with the HR executives and come up with the solution. Otherwise the launch of new product will have be to delayed, and this could cause serious damage to the company. Please let me know what we should do to reach a peaceful solution to this matter.

Read the phone message above and post your answer to it in a comment box.

Homework - Part 5 Propose a solution

Hello! My name is Anne Smith. I was supposed to fly from Hong Kong to Tokyo on your airline at 10 pm. But the flight was delayed until the next morning at 9 am. Here is the problem. I had to pay for one more night at the hotel in Tokyo because I couldn’t call the hotel regarding my new arrival time. I think this is unfair and would like to ask for some compensation. Please call me at 6894-0987 and we can talk about this matter. Thanks.

Hello! This is Jimmy Heinz from the sales department. We’ll be having an event
to promote our newly released hair product next month. The problem is that my
boss put me in charge of planning this event but since I am new to this department,
I really don’t have any ideas how to get started on coordination the event. I know
you were the one in charge of such events until last year, so I would like to get some
tips on how to organize the event if you don’t mind. Please call me at extension 40.

Homework - Part 5 Propose a solution (Complaining)

Hello! My name is Barbara Pridgen and I bought a printer from your dealer last
month. The model is SCO-1220. It had many features that were useful and I also
liked its performance. However, since last week, it has been making a strange
sound when the power is on even though it’s not printing anything. I guess it
needs some expert’s help. Could you tell me what I should do to have a technician
look at this printer? You can reach me at 6120-3345. Thanks.
